AGÈNCIA CATALANA DE NOTÍCIES


The Agència Catalana de Notícies (Catalan News Agency) is a publicly-owned company. The Catalan Broadcasting Corporation has a 30% share of it and manages it by commission of the Generalitat de Catalunya (Catalan Government).

Set up on January 4, 1999, the News Agency’s goal is to provide and manage press, radio and television services in both Catalan-speaking regions and the rest of Spain.

It is the first news agency in Spain employing digital technology. It offers its clients a wide range of in-house news services over the Internet. Most subscribers are media companies, however customers also include institutional enterprises.


VANG 3 PUBLICACIONS


This company was founded by Televisió de Catalunya through TVC Multimedia, and La Vanguardia, each with a 50% stake. Its main objective is to publish and market editorial projects. One of these is the monthly Club Super 3 magazine, which was launched in December, 1997 and is now the best-selling children’s publication in Catalonia.
